Kathy Quirk. Writing, editing, freelance writer

Kathy Quirk
Writer

These are among the topics I’ve written about in my career. I started as a newspaper general assignment reporter for a metropolitan daily, learning to research, interview and meet deadlines.

Most recently, I have been working for major university writing about research, profiling students and alumni, editing and writing an education alumni magazine, helping create a podcast and creating website stories as assigned.

As a freelance writer, I’ve written about automobiles, medical/healthcare concerns, agriculture and commodity markets, specialty chemicals, and Tuvan throat singing.

In all my writing, my focus is on making sometimes complex topics interesting and understandable to an average audience.
